Children are S. J. age 22, George, age 21, Mary A. age 14, Wilson age 12 and John age 5. All the children were born in Mississippi. NOTE: George is also listed in the 1880 Census with wife Emma, only his age is listed as 20 years old.

3. Military Service: Civl War Service Records. Silas Eggerton served in Company D, 14 Mississippi Infantry. He was inducted as a private and discharged in the rank of Corporal. Alliegence: Confederate.

Silas married Martha Jane BRASHIER, daughter of Pleasant BRASHIER and Rebecca Marie MOORE, on 28 Jun 1856 in Clark County, Mississippi, USA.
