1. burial notes. There are two old abandoned cemeteries in reformation. One is on the old Guy Wooten place, this one is the old Harrell Cemetery.This is the one where "Pap" and his wife, Elizabeth, is buried. The other cemetery is on Bill Bassett's place, near
goshen, where the Williams family is buried.

2. miscellaneous notes. John was believed to be one of the negotiators with the indians when the Dancing Rabbit Creek Treaty was signed.
Note: Quote from the Leake County History " When the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek was signed, "Pap" went with the Indians to do it in 1830." C97-Pg 67..
Note: John Harrell moved to Leake Co. around 1839-40. Records show he sold his land in Rankin Co. 2/19/1838.
Note: John Harrell was referred to by the nickname of "Pap" in many records and by family.
