He reports he is employed as a farmer and he was born in Mississipp. He reported his parents were born in North Carolina. Living with him are his wife Nancy E. (age 51) born in Mississippi and sister Harriett Kemp (age 62) born in Mississippi and his father in law E. J. McKay, age 78 (born in Mississippi). He reports he and Nancy have been married 32 years and have six children, four living.

4. Census: ED 64, Sheet 5, Line 13, 1920, Leake County, Mississippi. James is 63 and a farmer, living with him is his wife Nancy E. (age 60), Harriett M. Kemp age 73 (sister) and E. J. McKay (father in law) age 88.
