EUBANKS, James (Jimmie) Terrell Sr.
1. Census: Fourteenth Census of the United States Population Schedule, 13 Jan 1920, Leake County, Mississippi. 1920 Federal Census lists Jimmie T. (age 29) as head of the household, living in Leake County, Mississippi. In the household with him are wife Minnie (age 26) son J. T. (age 9) daugther Juanita (age 6) and son Leonard (age 4 months) and two sisters Lula D. (age 10) and Thelma (age 13) both born in Mississippi and a boarder Bailey Malone (male age 20) in the household. I will assume that since a different surname was not listed for the sisters, that they are J. T.'s sisters, but I don't know that for sure. Jimmie reported that his father was born in Texas and his mother was born in Mississippi. Minnie reported that she was born in Mississippi and both her parents were as well. 2. miscellaneous notes. WWI Civilian Registration lists his year of birth as 1890, the SSDI lists his year of birth as 1888. James married Minnie Mae Hutchins KEMP, daughter of James KEMP and Nancy Elizabeth "Nannie" McKAY, on 23 Jul 1909. (Minnie Mae Hutchins KEMP was born on 8 Feb 1894 in Mississippi and died on 3 Jun 1944 in Carthage, Leake County, Mississippi, USA.) James next married Mary Hester HALL about 1913. (Mary Hester HALL was born about 1892 in Carthage, Leake Co., MS.) |
