NASH, Edward Everette
1. Death, 11 Jan 1983. Edward was involved in an oilfied related accident at Breckenridge, TX, sometime prior to 1925, suffered a broken back and was told he would never walk again. After months in a hospital and much determination (which charactarized the rest of his life) he did walk without assistance. In his later years, he wore braces on both legs. At the time of his back injury he worked for Snowden-McSweeny Oil Co. and was transferred to Cromwell, OK. He continued in that company's employ until it sold to Texas Gulf Producing Oil Co. He continued to work for Texas Gulf Producing until about the age of 70. All of these years at Cromwell, OK, he pumped an oil lease known as the Little Lease, 1 1/4 miles East of Cromwell, OK. 2. Employment: Oilfield Pumper. Edward married Lessie Hester MOONEYHAM, daughter of John Richard MOONEYHAM and Nancy Ann (Annie) HUFFMAN. (Lessie Hester MOONEYHAM was born on 26 Aug 1899 in Calhoun Co, MS and died on 23 Dec 1980 in Creek Co, OK.) |
