1. Obituary: The Augusta Chronicle, 15 May 2003, Augusta, Georgia. HARLEM, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at University Hospital. Mrs. Doris Parr Sprayberry, wife of the late Mr. Marshall E. Sprayberry, of Swint Combs Road, Harlem. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, with Rev. Don Manning officiating. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park Cemetery, Augusta. Mrs. Sprayberry, a native of Richmond County, was a retired U. S. Government Accounting Technician, Fort Gordon. She was a Navy Veteran of W. W. II. She was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include one son, Ronald E. Sprayberry, Evans; two daugthers, Marsha S. Foster, Harlem, and Gayle E. Sprayberry, Lexington, S. C.; one brother, Francis Calvin Parr, Grovetown; one sister, Rosa Adelle Wright, Augusta; four grandchildren, John Marshall Sprayberry, David Robert Sprayberry, Michael Joseph Sprayberry, and Rachel Elaine Foster; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Sprayberry, David Sprayberry, Michael Sprayberry, Sean Waters, Tom Wood, and James Wolfgram. Honorary pallbearers will be Rachel Elaine Foster, Calvin Parr and C. F. Wright. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy 78, Harlem, Georgia, 706-556-6524.

Doris married Marshall Elisha SPRAYBERRY, son of William Theopolas SPRAYBERRY and Minnie Elizabeth HORN, on 14 Jan 1946 in N. Augusta, Aiken Co., South Carolina, USA. (Marshall Elisha SPRAYBERRY was born on 17 Mar 1916 in Marydell, Leake Co. MS, died on 9 Oct 2000 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia and was buried on 10 Oct 2000 in Westover Mem., Augusta, Richmond, Georgia.)
