3. Obituary, 29 Jul 2003, The Clarion Ledger. Margie Allday Ward Buck, 86, died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at Crossgates Manor Nursing Home in Brandon. Visitation is 10 a.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with a 2 p.m. graveside in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Newton County. Mrs. Buck was a native of Newton County and a longtime resident of the Jackson area. She was Baptist and was a caregiver in the Jackson area for many years. Survivors include: daughter, Martha Ward Martin and husband, Ronnie of Brandon; sons, Wilford (Sonny) Ward and wife, Carole of Thorsby, Ala., and James Marvin Ward of Jackson; sisters, Nila Allday Myers of Raymond and Lucille Allday Mills of Tupelo; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Crossgates Manor Nursing Home, 355 Crossgates Blvd., Brandon, Miss. 39042.

Services were Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetary in Newton County. Rev. Davis Odom and Rev. Glen Maughan officiated. Mrs. Buck was a native of Newton County and a long time resident of the Jackson area. She was Baptist and was a care giver in the Jackson area for many years.
Survivors include her daughter Martha Ward Martin and her husband Ronnie of Brandon; sons, Wilford (Sonny) Ward and wife Carole of Thorsby, Ala., and James Ellis Ward of Jackson; sisters Nila Allday Myers of Raymond and Lucille Allday Mills of Tupelo; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Tom Crane, Darrell Ward, Ronnie Martin, Joe Burns, Danny Ward and Matt Glasco. Memorials may be made to Crossgates Manor Nursing Home, 355 Crossgates Blvd., Brandon Miss. 39042.
