1. Obituary, May 1956, Natchez, Adams Co., Mississippi. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Mable Lee will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. E. H. Blumer officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetary. Mrs. Lee died at her residence on Highway 61 at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday. She has been a resident of this community for the past 15 years. She was born in Waynesboro on July 31, 1891, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Eggerton Horne. Survivors include her husband, David S. Lee, Sr., two sons, David S. Jr., and Theodore, both of Long Beach, California, two daugthers, Mrs. Louis May of Natchez and Mrs. J. W. Wellborn of Washignton, Mississippi, a sister Miss Maudie Horne of Waynesboro and three brothers O. E. Horne of Meridian, Curtis and Edgar Horne of Waynesboro. Services are under the direction of Foster Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Augustine Verrucchi, Prentiss Lewis, Sam May, George McNeil, L. B. Wellborn and J. W. Wellborn. Mary married David Stamps LEE Sr., son of David Monroe LEE and Sara Elizetta SMITH, on 17 Aug 1919 in Coyt, Mississippi, USA. (David Stamps LEE Sr. was born on 6 May 1895 in McNatt, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA, died on 19 Jan 1966 in Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi, USA and was buried in 1966 in National Cemetary, Natchez, Adams County, MS.) |
