1. Obituary: The Clarion Ledger, 17 May 2003, Jackson, Hinds County Mississippi. Dussie Sprayberry Lowery, 91, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Crossgates Nursing Home in Brandon. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage with burial in Reformation Cemetery. Mrs. Lowery was a member of Carthage Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: husband, Woodrow Wilson Lowery of Brandon; daughters, Elizabeth East of Jackson, Lynda Torrence of Brandon, Martha Embry of Pearl, and Wanda Williams of Madison; a brother, Hosea Sprayberry of Magnolia, Ark.; a sister, Ellie Harrell of Carthage; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Bro. Dan Gilchrist will be the officiating minister 2. Religion: Presbyterian and was a member of Carthage Presbyterian Church. 3. Occupation: Homemaker.
