Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Reformation Cemetery. Mr. Lowery was born December 26, 1913. He was a retired farmer who loved the outdoors and basketball. He was a faithful member of Carthage Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dussie Sprayberry Lowery in May 2003; three brothers, three sisters and a grandson. He is survived by daughters Elizabeth (Liz) and husband Jeff East of Jackson, Lynda and husband Jimmy Torrence of Brandon, Martha and husband John Embry of Pearl, and Wanda and husband Jimmy Williams of Madison; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Shane McNair, Rusty McNair, Nathan McNair, David Torrence, Jerry Torrence, and Lance Williams
